House damaged near Triggs Golf Course after Saturday brush fire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A house in Providence suffered damage as a result of a brush fire Saturday afternoon.
Around 12:55 p.m. Saturday, responded to a report of a brush fire near Triggs Golf Course on the corner of Chalkstone and Oakwood Avenue in Providence.
According to the Providence Fire Department, the fire started on a line of trees by a fence on Triggs Golf Course. Even though the structure at Triggs was not affected much, the house next to it, 1537 Chalkstone, suffered damage from the burning trees. The siding and electrical meters were all damaged, and as of 2:10 p.m Saturday afternoon, the house was without power.
